Good government starts with good citizens. Henderson has plenty of them.
Every month we recognize one person who made Henderson better: someone who spoke up, showed up, served or simply helped a neighbor. Know someone who deserves the thank you? Tell us their story.

The honor roll-
Henderson Hero of the Month: Gage Paulman
Gage Paulman had never spoken at a City Council meeting before. He stood up anyway, to ask who watches the data collected by license plate cameras,…
Who can be a Henderson Hero
Anyone who made a differenceSomeone who spoke up
A resident who stood up at a council, school board, commissioners court or board meeting and spoke for the community and the people who pay the bills.
A volunteer, veteran or first responder
The people who show up when it counts, and the neighbors and business owners who quietly make a difference without being asked.
A student, team or youth group
An effort or achievement that made the town proud. Our young people are Henderson’s future, and they are always welcome here.
A public servant who went beyond the job
Answered a records request fast, explained a budget plainly, or fixed something before anyone had to ask.
How it works
From nomination to thank youTell us who they are and what they did, in your own words, using the form below.
Every hero story is documented like everything else on this site: a meeting video, minutes, a news report or a firsthand account we can check.
Private citizens are always asked before they are featured. For anyone under 18, we ask a parent or guardian and share only a first name, school and the achievement.
Each month’s hero gets their own story, shared with the whole town.
